..:: Paragon Pythons ::..

reduced pattern clownHere at Welsh Reptile Breeders we decided almost ten years ago to specialise with Ball Pythons, (Royal Pythons). We consider this small python species to be a perfect snake to keep in captivity. Previously Ball Pythons had a bad reputation but this adverse publicity was nearly always due to the animals concerned being wild caught specimens or being kept at temperatures that were far too low. We are totally against keeping wild caught animals and urge all prospective purchasers to source quality captive breed specimens. Whenever possible visit the breeder and ask to see the parents, this often allows you to see that you are indeed agetting a quality animal.

Ball Python morphs were instrumental in developing and enhancing the huge interest in reptiles that exists today. Whether at the various shows throughout the year or on the internet more interest is generated by the Ball Python morphs than any other group of reptiles.

Since the first ball pythons morphs appeared interest in these wonderful animals has rocketed.  Today we have dominant co dominant and recessive morphs and more recently many multi genetic combinations have appeared.  With all these wonderful combinations available to us, we have still not scratched the surface of what can be produced.  The days of the $50,000 morph seem to have gone, but there is still opportunity for new breeders/investors to produce stunning morphs which will give a generous return on ones time and investment.  The time needed to include recessive genes into multi genetic projects will ensure that their value and interest will remain with us for many years.

In our collection page we have included a selection of our animals for you to see just a small sample of what is available to buyers in the UK.

mojave-spiderSince we started with the Ball Python morphs we have invested heavily in these wonderful animals. Our collection now contains over 40 different visual morphs as well as many heterozygous animals. We have now reached the stage where we are producing double, triple and even quadruple genetic animals. The future for these amazing animals is guaranteed. As always the best quality animals usually produce the best quality babies. We have over the years purchased wonderful animals from many of the top breeders in the USA, we have been very pleased with the majority of these but our breeding success has shown us that animals bred in the UK go on to make the best breeders. We believe that this situation is probably caused because locally bred animals are quicker to adapt to our natural light and temperature cycles.
